News from Yvonne Arlott

A review of Yvonne's woodturning DVD, Lacework Techniques with Yvonne Arlott, appeared in the tried & tested section of the April issue of "Woodturning".

This piece won a bronze award in the wood art competition at the Axminster Tools 2004 show. 

Yvonne was featured along with her work on BBC Spotlight Television on the 5th February 2004, after a visit from Natalie Cornah to her workshop. She was interviewed as part of an on going series featuring prominent West Country artists.

A picture of Yvonne's ornamental egg appeared in the February 2004 issue of "Woodturning" along with some brief comments.

During November and December 2003 a number of articles appeared featuring Yvonne's work and her in the Cornish Guardian and Western Morning News.

An ornamental egg, turned and pierced, decorated with carved ebony leaves. The egg opens to reveal three small egg boxes inside, each containing a different turned piece. The egg sits on an open barley twist stand and has an open barley twist finial. This piece won a special award in the open woodturning competition at Tools 2003, held at Westpoint, Exeter.

Some of Yvonne's work was featured on the front cover of the "Woodturning" magazine along with a 4 page profile inside.
